A friend of mine called round this morning.
A good friend of mine called round this morning for a chat, a few months ago he had a problem, so I taught him some very simple emotional freedom techniques along with a couple of energy drills. Along with a reality checker.
This guy a few months ago decided that he wanted the quality of his life improved and had committed to making some big changes in his life, by raising his standards.
He was having some problems with the person he lived with, and was having outbursts of anger along with fear issues.
He started to do the drills and nothing happened, being pretty switched on and trusting me, he continued and looked through the manual and watched an eft dvd I had given him.
What happened I asked?
“Well at first nothing, then I noticed that when I was doing the tapping, in my head I was saying negative stuff” “so what did you do?”
“Well I remembered what you said about if I want to keep my problem, make excuses, so I stopped, making them, and it worked”
Good one, he then went on to tell me that he had realised that his problem was not just one thing, when he started tapping he noticed that other issues, he had with the person came up.
It tarted with anger, and feelings of not being respected, then he noticed feelings of insincerity, resentment, dependency, fear and a load of other stuff.
He went through each one until he had neutralised all the associated emotions that had built around, what he thought was the problem.
Emotional freedom therapy may have done it’s self a disservice in selling it’s self as always being fast.
Often it is, however in the real world, some things do take longer, and what we believe is our problem, is often only the tip of the iceberg, with many underling emotional tags being associated with our perceived glitch.
