Emotional Freedom Techniques for Children.
As parents or as a relative we all have a desire to remove physical and emotional pain from children we love. It does sometimes throw us in a to a spin, because we know that childhood is painful, as kids learn about how the world works and what is expectable and what is not.
Emotional pain is part of learning how to survive in the world and can develop amazing talents and capabilities if handler correctly. They can learn self control, confidence, respect tenacity, self concept and resilience and personal responsibility.
If we allow our children to avoid developing these skills they may turn out to be less effective and happy as adults. Becoming just average in society.
Emotional freedom techniques are useful to learn, so that as a parent we can deliver a two pronged healing process with our little ones. The first is with ourselves, the second is with the child.
Using ETF as a parent. On yourself.
This stage of our life is complex, learning how to be a parent is a huge step in our development and any deficiencies in our character will only be magnified when we face the realties of parenthood. We teach our child much of what it learns in it’s early years and to avoid passing on our own fears and weakness is a vital part of parenthood.
The extra pain, fear, anxiety, worry, heart break, the sleep depravation and total confusion that every parent experiences will have to be faced and being emotionally stable, healthy and happy will help to make the experience of raising kids far more pleasurable for the whole family. Every parent is advised to get a copy of Duncan McColl’s Understanding Parents MP3.
Using emotional freedom techniques for your child.
A child's life is filled with wonder and fear. Their brains and bodies are being moulded to survive and grow in a world that is new and alien to them. They have to learn how to survive and become effective in this new world. This often leads to mistakes as through a process of trial and error they learn how to live and grow.
EFT is a very useful technique to help your child learn how to remove emotional issues that they just do not have the emotional maturity to deal with, at the moment.
All of the usual childhood problems have been treated with this technique and the results are often fast and very effective in removing distress in children. The two most common approaches are direct tapping and surrogate tapping. Both are equally effective on children of all ages.
